Honorable Members of the Model European Parliament,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 56th international Model European Parliament session in Sofia, Bulgaria.
We are honoured and very pleased to host and be part of this event. MEP gives the great opportunity for the youth of Europe to speak to the world and their opinion to be heard.
With the strong belief that truth is born in the constructive dispute and conversation we hope that this session will see a lot of opinions and good points. That is why we strongly encourage you to participate and not fear to speak, share, discuss, and ultimately- grow as individuals and as a team.
Given the hard time we live in, this year there will be a lot of difficult and sophisticated issues. But with hard and thorough work, everything is possible.
Bulgaria, the oldest country in Europe with history of more than one thousand and three hundred years, is waiting for you. Land where states and cultures have met for thousands of years.
This MEP-session, like previous ones, will bring you the opportunity to engage in meaningful debates and getting to know people from all over Europe. We strongly encourage you to take every opportunity to express your beliefs and participate as much as possible, experiencing new cultures is an incredibly valuable experience and we urge you to talk to as many peers as you can. Sharing and expressing your ideas is fundamental to make the session a success. The MEP is a platform where democracy, freedom of expression and diversity is cherished, young people are offered a unique place to experience these values and be impacted by the discourse. We have both participated in multiple sessions and always return home with a feeling of warmth and european solidarity. MEP has widened so many perspectives and we look forward to seeing you engage in this important event.
