Welcome note from the PresidencyPresidency | 62nd iMEP The Hague | Model European Parliament

Honourable Delegates, Esteemed Committee Presidents, Teachers, Coordinators and Distinguished Guests of the 62nd International Model European Parliament Session,

We are delighted to welcome you to The Hague, the Netherlands, a city that has been honoured with the title “International City of Peace and Justice”. The Hague is a global centre for cooperation. The choice of venue for this session is indicative of our shared conviction that understanding, respect and collaboration are the cornerstones of a united Europe. In a time of global division and uncertainty, your presence reminds us that progress is born through exchange and empathy. Let us use this gathering as an opportunity to generate new ideas, strengthen our connections and continue building a Europe founded on peace, partnership and human dignity.

In The Hague, the Netherlands, the spirit of peace and dialogue is brought to life. In this setting, at the intersection of diplomacy and international cooperation, you will engage in discussions that directly impact the future of Europe. As the Presidency, our role throughout this session is to guide and support you, ensuring that the conference runs smoothly and that every delegate feels heard and encouraged to participate. Our vision for this session goes beyond parliamentary debate. We hope it will be a space where you build lasting friendships, discover new perspectives, and learn more about yourself in the process.
