Breaking News: MEP Italia Alumna Geraldina Botter to Address UN Human Rights Council in Geneva

Dear Board Members, Dear Members,

I am incredibly proud to announce a historic milestone for our alumni community. Tomorrow, 25 September 2025, our representative, Geraldina Botter, one of our alumnae, will deliver a video statement at the 60th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

This is a landmark achievement, as Geraldina is the first member of our Alumni community to be officially accredited and receive a United Nations badge, representing us at such a high-level international forum.

Her intervention will be broadcast during the General Debate on “Human Rights Bodies and Mechanisms” (Item 5). Geraldina will bring a powerful youth perspective to the urgent need to strengthen the impartiality and credibility of international institutions, addressing the issue of double standards in applying international law.

This is a testament to the dedication of our members and a defining moment for MEP Italia.

Please join me in congratulating Geraldina on this truly historic accomplishment!
